Ian James Robert Allinson Date of Birth: Oct 1, 1957 Share "Ian Allinson" on FacebookHitchin born Ian had racked up over 300 appearances for Colchester, who he had joined from school, when he was amazingly snapped up by Arsenal on a free transfer in 1983.
Although never a regular at Highbury he made over a century of appearances for the Gunners before moving to Stoke and then on to Luton in October 1987.
A clever footballer, Ian weighed in with some vital goals for the Hatters but was sadly cup-tied for the successful Littlewoods cup run.
After returning to Colchester, where he finished his League career, Ian has managed Baldock, Stotfold, Borehamwood and St Albans.
