James Inglis
James Inglis Date of Birth: Dec 3, 1877 Share "James Inglis" on FacebookA speedy and tricky winger, James was born in Kirkland, Dumfries in 1877 and had earned a good reputation with Airdrieonians when he was attracted south by Football League side Small Heath (Birmingham) in 1896.
After a bright start his appearances gradually reduced so he was pleased to join a fellow Division Two club in Luton in the summer of 1899. Starting the season as first choice on the right wing he was badly injured in his third game, at Burnley, and never played for the club again.
James returned to Scotland at the season’s end and finished his career at Sanquar.
