James Muir

Born in Longcroft in Scotland in 1904, James had an unsuccessful trial at Plymouth in 1923 and after plying his trade at Dunfermline and Bo’ness came to Luton in 1927 for another chance in the Football League.

At Bo’ness he had remained ever-present as the club won the championship of Scottish League Division Two in 1926-27, so much was expected of him. Sadly, he only played ten games, without keeping a clean sheet, and lost his place to Henry Abbott.

At the season’s end James returned to Bo’ness.
