James Shepherd
James Shepherd Born: 6th August 1890 From: Share "James Shepherd" on FacebookBorn in Whitehaven in 1890, James had earned a reputation as a goalscorer with Workington in the North Western League and came to Luton in the summer of 1911 on the recommendation of his good friend Sammy Wightman.
Signed as cover for James Stephenson he was soon playing alongside him but with only one goal in eight appearances and little prospect of a new contract he went back to Workington before the season was over.
