James Wallace
James Wallace Date of Birth: Jun 4, 1879 Share "James Wallace" on FacebookBorn in West Ham in 1879, James turned out for London Caledonians before joining West Ham United where he played with his close friend Billy Barnes.
The pair came to Luton in the summer of 1904 and although James did not have the pedigree of Billy he was regarded as the better player as an inside-forward of skill and perception.
Sadly, James did not settle and after only one game, at home to Southampton in a 2-1 defeat, he asked to return to Essex where he signed for Grays.
