Jim Fleming

James Paterson Fleming Date of Birth: Jan 7, 1942

Tricky winger Jim was signed by Luton Town in 1960 from Partick Thistle in a straight swap deal involving Joe McBride. Still a teenager when he came to Kenilworth Road Jim was one of the stars of a poor Luton side and if his finishing had matched his approach play he undoubtedly would have picked up caps for Scotland.

As the Hatters were about to drop to Division Three, Jim returned to Partick and then moved on to Dunfermline, with whom he played in Europe, before transferring to Hearts.

Jim finished his career at Ross County and lived in Inverness until his sad passing in December 2020.
