Jim Watson
Jim Watson Share "Jim Watson" on FacebookBorn in Maryhill in 1896, Jim had spent four years in France with the Glasgow Highlanders during the Great War and returned to play in goal for Dundee.
Recommended as an International candidate the Town thought they had done well to bring him to Luton in the summer of 1920 but in his first outing, in the first game back in the Football League, he had to pick the ball out of the net nine times as a 9-1 defeat was suffered at Swindon.
He retained his place the following wek in a 2-2 home draw with Portsmouth but after that Harry Bailey was preferred in goal. Jim made only two more starts that season when Bailey was injured, neither of which was a clean sheet.
He left at the season’s end for a year at Exeter before returning to Scotland with Amadale.
