Joe Davis

Joe Davis Date of Birth: Nov 10, 1993

Burnley born Joe started his football career in the Port Vale Academy in 2002. He made his first career appearance for the Vale in April 2010 as a substitute in a 7-2 home win over Morecambe.

In November 2013 Davis was sent on Loan to Luton Town, making 9 appearances for the Hatters without losing a single game in a Luton shirt, winning 7 and drawing 2 of the matches he played in. Joe returned to Vale Park after a request from John Still to extend his loan was denied by Port Vale. Joe left Port Vale in 2014 and was snapped up by Leicester on a free transfer, unfortunately he was unable to break into the first team, going out on loan to Fleetwood, before a permanent move to Cod Army. After which he ended up moving back to Port Vale before moves to York and Nantwich.

Since retiring from football, he has studied for a degree in Sports Writing and Broadcasting at Staffordshire University, he indulged his journalistic tendencies, writing fondly about his brief spell at Luton, titled “Play the Luton Way”, in his Medium Blog.
