In three seasons at Highbury he only managed six first team games so accepted a move to Luton, on the recommendation of former Bo’ness team mate Billy Agnew, in the summer of 1926 where he had more success and played 29 games on the wing, scoring two goals, in 1926/27.
At the end of that season he decided to return to Bo’ness.
