John Fulton

Born near Kilmarnock in 1903, John played local football when he was spotted by the Town and offered a contract in the summer of 1927.

A centre-half who was strong in the tackle, brave and a good reader of the game he became a vital rock in defence and was made captain in his second season. After a serious injury in his third campaign he did not seem the same player on his return to the side so was released in 1930 to join up with former teammates George Dennis and Bob Graham at Norwich.

Making only one appearance for the Canaries he returned to Luton to work for Vauxhall Motors as a fitter. John passed away in Luton in 1963.
