John Gordon Date of Birth: Apr 11, 1899 Share "John Gordon" on FacebookBorn in Kirkcudbright in 1899, John was a wing or centre-half who played his early football for Queens Park before being enticed south by Port Vale for whom he signed professional forms in 1922 and enjoyed some success there before becoming unsettled and moving back to Scotland with Morton.
He tried again in 1926 when he came to Kenilworth Road but could not regularly replace John Black and made only 14 appearances over two seasons before going back once more to Scotland to join Dunfermline.
