John Page
John Page Date of Birth: Sep 23, 1901 Share "John Page" on FacebookBorn in Grays in 1901, John was playing for Grays Thurrock when he was signed on by Millwall in 1926. Converted from half-back to inside forward he only managed 16 appearances in four seasons at the Den.
Coming to Luton on trial in July 1930 he was awarded a contract and made a scoring debut at home to Brentford on the opening day of 1930-31. He got three further opportunities soon after, with the games all ending in defeat and played the rest of the season in the reserves.
Released at the season’s end he went to Chatham before becoming player-manager at Tilbury. John passed away in Grays in 1979.
