John Seasman

John Seasman Date of Birth: Feb 21, 1955

With everyone at Tranmere thinking that Luton scouts were watching winger Steve Coppell they were mildly surprised when a £14,000 bid came in for midfielder John Seasman.

John made his full League debut for the Hatters at Wolves in March 1975, scoring in a 2-5 defeat, but although highly rated by the fans and the local press he was often overlooked by the Luton management until he was told that the cash-strapped Town would have to pay Tranmere an extra £10,000 once he had made ten appearances!

At his next stop, Millwall, John became a crowd favourite helping the Lions to promotion a feat he also achieved at Rotherham.

After drifting down through the divisions, John became chief scout at Blackburn before working for football agents Base Soccer.
