Julian Watts

Julian Watts Date of Birth: Mar 17, 1971

Tall and mobile central defender Julian had played only a handful of games for Rotherham when he was snapped up by Sheffield Wednesday in 1992 for £130,000.

Julian found it tough to break through at Hillsborough but it was still a surprise when he moved to Leicester in 1996 and the Owls fans were proved right when he helped his new club to promotion to the top flight.

After moving on to Bristol City in 1998, Julian came to Luton a year later and was virtually ever present for 18 months until falling out with new manager Joe Kinnear and deciding on a fresh start with Northern Spirit in Sydney. After returning to these shores in 2004 Julian set up a business in Worksop and managed several clubs in the area.
