Keith Allen

Keith Allen Date of Birth: Nov 9, 1943

The fourth of seven sons who all played football at varying levels, Keith was not given a first team chance at local club Portsmouth but made his name at Stockport where he was a mainstay in the side that walked away with Division Four in 1967.

Surprisingly transferred to Luton in exchange for forward Derek Kevan he never regretted the move as he became an instant terrace hero at Kenilworth Road with his 100% all-action style of play.

‘Spider’ became the perfect foil to both Bruce Rioch and Malcolm Macdonald as the Hatters won two promotions in three seasons before leaving on a free transfer to Plymouth.

Keith is now back on his native Isle of Wight.
