Kevin Pilkington Date of Birth: Mar 8, 1974 Share "Kevin Pilkington" on FacebookBorn Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Kevin began his goalkeeping career at Manchester United in 1992 but the next 6 years saw just 6 first team appearances. Loans out to Rochdale, Rotherham United and Celtic did not lead to a permanent move. A free transfer to second tier Port Vale in 1998 saw Kevin unable to hold down a first team place. He was released in 2000 and had brief spells with Aberystwyth Town and Wigan Athletic before signing for third tier Mansfield Town. Five seasons and 189 games for the Stags was followed by 4 seasons and 149 games for Notts County.
In November 2009, Kevin was signed by Luton on a one month loan as cover for the injured Mark Tyler when he played 11 games. Released by Notts County in May 2010, he signed permanently for the Town and played in the first two games of the 2010/11 season before being replaced by Mark Tyler. That set the pattern and a loan spell back at Notts County followed. He played in 29 games in 3 seasons for the Town and was also pert time goalkeeping coach at Ilkeston.
In February 2012 he was appointed goalkeeping coach at Notts County where he also played a few games. A spell at Cambridge United and Barnsley was followed by signing for Luton in November 2021 working alongside Kevin Dearden.
