Leon Barnett

Leon Peter Barnett Date of Birth: Nov 30, 1985

A product of the Luton Town youth system, local boy Leon became the first person to represent the club at Under-17, Under-19, Reserve and Senior level within one season when coming on as a substitute in a LDV Vans Trophy game at Woking in October 2002.

Although favouring the centre-half position, where due to his amazing spring and pace he was able to dominate forwards, he could play anywhere along the back line.

It came as no real surprise when Leon was transferred to West Brom in 2007 for big fee and he subsequently turned out for Norwich, Wigan, Bury and Northampton before being advised to quit the game due to a heart defect leaving Leon to concentrate on his locally based Soccer School.
