Born in Wells, Somerset, Luke signed a 2 year scholarship with the Bristol City Academy in 2007. He left the Robins in 2009 after being offered a trial at Portsmouth, who were at that time competing in the Premier League, Luke was offered a contract, but failed to make an appearance for Pompey, making loan moves to Northampton and then Eastleigh whilst at Fratton park.

Following his release by Portsmouth, Luke signed a contract with Dagenham and Redbridge in the Summer of 2010. The next season he joined Conference South side Boreham Wood on loan and making 28 appearances, scoring one goal. He would then re-join Boreham Wood the following season for the first half of the 2011/12 season, where he was a regular in the team, making 25 appearances before heading to Dartford for the second half of the season. He broke into John Still’s Dagenham and Redbridge team the following season, making his first appearance against Wimbledon at Kingsmeadow, winning the club’s Player of the Year Award during his first season at the club, going onto make 65 appearances for the Daggers.

Ahead of the 2014/15 season, Luke joined up with his former Dagenham manager John Still at Luton Town, joining for an undisclosed fee. He made his first appearance in Luton’s first game back in the Football League at Carlisle, with Luke’s first Luton goal coming during a 2-0 win at home to Oxford. Luke fell out of favour at Kenilworth Road under Nathan Jones, and in January 2016 he was sold to Stevenage, where he made over a century of appearances. Following Stevenage, Luke went on to play for Yeovil and Woking.
