Mark Aizlewood Date of Birth: Oct 1, 1959

Born only a stone’s throw from Somerton Park, Newport, Mark joined his local club from school before making his league debut as a 16 year old in March 1976.

Luton manager David Pleat paid £50,000 for his services two years later and he made 98 league appearances for the Hatters in a variety of defensive and midfield roles before losing his place to Richard Money in 1982.

He moved to Charlton that summer and then enjoyed relatively big money moves to Leeds and Bradford City before winding down at Bristol City and Cardiff having racked up over 500 league appearances in a magnificent career.

After a variety of coaching roles Mark became a player’s agent.
