Mike Harrison

Michael John Harrison Date of Birth: Apr 18, 1940

One of the many products of the Chelsea youth system of the 1950’s, Mike made his debut for the Blues as a 16 year old but in five years at Stamford Bridge never really established himself despite winning England u-23 caps.

An £18,000 move to Blackburn in 1962 was the making of him as he earned a regular place there as an immensely powerful and quick winger. A transfer to Plymouth in 1967 was quickly followed by a move to Luton a year later and he helped the Hatters win promotion to Division Two with a tremendous penalty kick routine his party piece.

Mike settled back in Plymouth and was a representative for a medical firm. He sadly passed away in January 2019.
