Mike Tracey

Michael George Tracey Date of Birth: Feb 14, 1935

A qualified solicitor, Mike was playing amateur football for Crook Town, with whom he earned an Amateur Cup winners medal, when he was persuaded to turn full-time with Luton in November 1959.

After getting used to the training, Mike made his debut at centre-forward during a home defeat at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday in February 1960 but the rest of his Hatters appearances were in his favoured position on the wing.

After failing to become a regular at Kenilworth Road, Mike moved to Lincoln before turning out for Worksop and Grantham whilst practising once more as a solicitor.

Mike became a partner in a Lincoln firm of solicitors before retiring to a farm in Ireland where he passsed away in 2014.
