Murdoch Morrison

Murdoch Morrison Date of Birth: Oct 9, 1924

After playing for Clydebank Juniors and Belhaven Star, goalkeeper Murdo was signed on by the Hatters in September 1945, making his Luton debut in the closing matches of the last war-time season of 1945/46.

With the onset of League football once more, Murdo found himself behind George Duke and Les Bywater in the pecking order and made only one appearance – in May 1947 in a 0-4 defeat at Barnsley.

The signing of Bernard Streten became the final straw and Murdo accepted a move to Leyton Orient in 1947 where he made ten League starts before finishing his career at Dunstable amongst others.

Murdo died in 1975 aged only 50.
