Neil Dempsey

A Scottish forward who joined Luton from Ayr in October 1900, the club’s first season back in the Southern League.

He played a handful of games in the forward line in the 1900-01 campaign but returned to Scotland on the death of his father to become the main provider for his family being the eldest son.

Neil turned out for local side Benquhat Heatherbell and worked as a miner until retirement before passing away in Ayr in 1958 at the age of 84.
