Peter Cruse
Peter Cruse Date of Birth: Jan 10, 1951 Share "Peter Cruse" on FacebookEngland amateur international Peter failed to make the grade at Arsenal and was glad to move to Luton in 1973 for the chance of first team football.
Hatters manager Harry Haslam put the graceful inside forward into the side on the opening day of the 1973/74 campaign at Nottingham Forest but the Town were thrashed 0-4 and Peter was one of the casualties, being dropped from the team that beat Carlisle 6-1 the following week!
Peter found it difficult to win back a place in the side and so was loaned to Shrewsbury where he badly injured an ankle which effectively ended his league career.
After spells at Enfield and Staines and a year in Malta, Peter retired from the game and for many years was a London cabbie.
