Peter Small
Peter Small Date of Birth: Oct 23, 1924 Share "Peter Small" on FacebookCompact, strong and pacy winger Peter was recommended to Luton by ace Hatters marksman Hugh Billington after they had served together in the R.A.S.C. during the war.
Peter met with only limited success at Kenilworth Road but did play particularly well during two epic F.A.Cup ties against Leicester in 1949 leading to a move to the Filbert Street club for £6,000 a year later.
After helping the Foxes to Division One, he did the same for Nottingham Forest and made it a triple when he assisted Brighton to the Division Three title in 1958.
Peter joined the Goldstone Ground coaching staff after hanging up his boots and lived in Elsworth, Cambridgeshire in retirement before passing away in 2006.
