Proctor Hall
Proctor Hall Date of Birth: Dec 26, 1882 Share "Proctor Hall" on FacebookBorn in Blackburn in 1883, Proctor was a small ball-playing inside forward who was regarded as being a little lightweight for the time but nevertheless enjoyed a long footballing career.
Starting off in the Lancashire Combination he was picked up by Manchester United but after a promising start fell down the pecking order and moved to Brighton in 1905.
A short spell at Aston Villa followed before an altogether more successful period in Division Two with Bradford City leading to a surprise move to Luton in May 1907.
He started the 1907-08 season in eight consecutive games but an injury, coupled with a reluctance to move south, led to the Town allowing him to sign for Chesterfield in January 1908.
Proctor continued to play until the outbreak of the Great War which included a season in Newport County’s first season in the Southern League.
Proctor passed away in 1957.
