Randolph Galloway
Randolph Septimus Galloway Date of Birth: Dec 22, 1896 Share "Randolph Galloway" on FacebookBorn in Sunderland in 1896, Randolph (as he liked to be called!), was a boy musician in the Yorkshire Regiment during the Great War and also turned out for the Regiment’s football team as an all action centre-forward.
In peacetime, Randolph played for Sunderland Tramways before becoming a late entrant into the Football League with Derby in 1922 where he soon won a first team spot and enjoyed a reasonable goalscoring return.
This led to a £2500 move to Nottingham Forest in 1924 where the appearances and goals slowly dried up. Moving to the Town in the summer of 1927 he made only two appearances in six months before equally short and unsuccessful spells at Coventry and Tottenham.
Randolph finished his playing career at Grantham and passed away in Mapperley, Nottingham in 1964.
