Richard Jarvis
Richard Jarvis Date of Birth: Jul 25, 1880 Share "Richard Jarvis" on FacebookBorn in Nuneaton in 1881, Richard was a capable goalkeeper who always seemed to be an understudy.
Starting off with Whitwick White Cross he was signed on at Sheffield Wednesday in 1903 but made only six first team appearances in three years there before enjoying a season at Hastings St Leonards.
A safe and unshowy goalkeeper he came to Luton in September 1907 but for the first two years was understudy to Peter Platt. On Platt’s departure he was almost ever-present in 1909-10 but was then made to play second fiddle once more with the signing of Tom Naisby.
Richard finished his playing career with Nuneaton and passed away in that town in 1924.
