Ricky Miller

Ricky Miller Date of Birth: Mar 13, 1989

Born Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Ricky scored goals wherever he went, a total of 167 in 381 games over his 16 season career. A remarkable record considering that Ricky suffered with personal issues which seemed to arise from the death of his brother who was a firefighter.

Ricky moved clubs 31 times and it was his fourth spell at Boston United that had Town manager John Still chasing his signature. 28 goals in 46 games in the Conference North saw him arrive at Kenilworth Road on a free transfer in the Summer of 2014. Manager John Still described him as “a striker that likes to run in behind and puts defenders under pressure,”

Made his Town debut away to Hartlepool in a 2 1 win in October 2015 and scored his first goal in a 4 2 F.A. Cup home win over Newport County. His first League goal came at home to Tranmere Rovers in November 2014. He was loaned out to Conference Premier side Dover Athletic where he scored 5 goals in 10 games. A Police incident late in the season saw his contract terminated and Ricky moved to Dover permanently. The move revived his career by way of 72 goals in 110 games. This attracted Peterborough United who signed him but 13 goal-less games in League One followed. 7 more clubs followed before retirement through a knee injury.
