Ross Lafayette
Ross Lafayette Date of Birth: Nov 22, 1985 Share "Ross Lafayette" on FacebookBorn Watford, Hertfordshire. Ross came to the attention of Town fans when scored aneat goal for Welling against the Conference Championship team in 2014. The Town won 2-1 and got promotion to the Football League. Luton manager, John Still, was impressed with his strike rate of 39 goals in 90 matches for Welling and gave him a two year deal. A strong centre forward he seemed ideal for the town but he failed to make an impression.
Ross made just 14 appearances without scoring and was loaned back to Welling in March 2015 and then transfer listed. Ross’s career had started out at Beaconsfield and he moved around a lot including to Barton Rovers, Aylesbury, Wealdstone, Hemel Hempstead Town and Chesham United twice. It was at Welling that he seemed most at home and scored 19 goals when they won promotion from the Conference South in 2012/13.
After he left Luton, he joined Eastleigh on a free transfer. Again, a busy period followed at Aldershot on loan, then Dover, Sutton United and back to Wealdstone where he ended his career in 2021.
Ross had a career in media alongside football.
