Ryan Brunt

Ryan Brunt Date of Birth: May 26, 1993

Born in Birmingham, Ryan joined Stoke City’s academy from Bristol City in 2010. Gary Brabin was sufficiently impressed with his performance in a reserve game to bring him to Luton on work experience terms.

The big striker made 5 league appearances from the bench as well as a start in the FA Trophy first round tie against Swindon Supermarine before returning to the Potteries.

Further loan moves to Tranmere Rovers and Leyton Orient followed, but he was unable to make the breakthrough at the Britannia. He made a permanent move to Bristol Rovers in January 2013, hitting the ground running with 5 goals in 18 appearances during the remainder of the season. He was unable to recapture this form in the following season and moved to Plymouth Argyle in January 2015. Having established himself in the Pilgrims’ frontline, his time at Home Park was effectively cut short by a cruciate knee ligament injury. After being released by Plymouth in the summer of 2017, a season at Exeter City was followed by two years in the National League South with Bath City and a season with Chippenham Town.

Ryan branched out into the business world early in his football career, establishing Recoverfit, a company specialising in recovery equipment, in 2013.
