Scott Ward

Scott James Ward Date of Birth: Oct 5, 1981

Harrow born Scott came up through the ranks at Luton before signing professional forms in October 1998 and became highly regarded at Kenilworth Road as a goalkeeper of promise.

Scott enjoyed a remarkable introduction to League football when coming off the substitute’s bench after Mark Ovendale had received a red card at Brentford in May 2001. His first job was to face a penalty from the Bee’s Lloyd Owusu which he turned round the post before acquitting himself well in an eventual 2-2 draw.

Sadly, Hatters manager Joe Kinnear preferred to use the more experienced Ovendale and Carl Emberson between the sticks the following season leaving no chance for the frustrated Scott who departed from Luton in 2002.

Scott then turned out for a succession of non-League clubs.
