Sid Bedford
Sid Bedford Date of Birth: Feb 5, 1897 Share "Sid Bedford" on FacebookBorn in Northampton in 1897, Ginger signed on for the Cobblers at the end of the Great War and enjoyed a couple of seasons in the first team there before competition for places led to him leaving for Brighton.
He had one season at the Goldstone Ground but was in and out of the side and signed on for the Town in the summer of 1925. The ‘tall, willowy half-back’ made only one appearance, in a 3-0 defeat at Reading, and signed for Rushden in May 1926 and helped them to win the Northants Senior Cup in his first season.
He passed away in Northampton in 1958.
