An experienced goalkeeper for Luton Star, Sidney replaced the injured Roger Ord in a 1-1 draw at home to Reading in February 1902 and then again three years later in a 1-0 defeat at Portsmouth, this time replacing Albert Lindsay.
Sidney also played for Luton reserves as a non-contract player and won a Beds Senior Cup medal in 1906.
Bill passed away in Luton in 1953.
