Sol Davis

Solomon Sebastian Davis Date of Birth: Sep 4, 1979

Cheltenham born Sol signed professional forms for Swindon in May 1998, after coming up through the ranks at the County Ground, making his league debut at home to QPR in November 1997, soon after his 18th birthday.

Forging a reputation for himself as a committed and tough tackling left sided player he was brought to Luton by Joe Kinnear in August 2002 soon after the Hatters were promoted from Division Three.

Something of a cult hero at Kenilworth Road he was a mainstay in the side for seven years until suffering a stroke on the way to a game at Ipswich. Sol soon returned to the side, however, and continued to dish out his bone jarring tackles.

On leaving Kenilworth Road, Sol had spells at Milton Keynes and Kettering before winding down his career at Warminster.
