Stephen (Steve) KABBA

Lightning quick striker Steve was on the books of Crystal Palace as a youth trainee and as part of his football education was loaned out to Joe Kinnear’s Luton in March 2002 just as the Hatters were about to win promotion from Division Three.

Steve came on as substitute in three games where his quality was evident but despite attempts by Kinnear, Palace would not part with him although they had a change of heart a few months later, selling him to Sheffield United for £250,000.

At Bramall Lane a succession of injuries plus a surfeit of strikers cut down his appearances and he was pleased to move back nearer to his London birthplace when joining Watford for £500,000 in January 2007.

Steve then had spells at Brentford and Barnet before retiring through injury and becoming a football agent.
