Tom McInnes

Thomas McInnes Date of Birth: Mar 22, 1869

Born in Glasgow in 1869, Tommy had enjoyed a full career, but still only 26, when he came to Luton in 1896.

Winning a Scottish cap, turning out for Notts County where he won an FA Cup runners-up medal, Rangers, Third Lanark and Everton before joining the Town where he was virtually ever-present for four years.

A slightly built inside-forward with ginger hair he formed a great playing relationship with Hugh Galbraith and also weighed in with his fair share of goals in 153 appearances.

Leaving the club with many others in 1900, Tom played and worked for Bedford Queens Works for several years before hanging up his boots and working in Luton at Davis Gas Stoves as an Iron Moulders labourer until retirement.

Tom passed away in Luton in 1939.
