Tommy Hare

Tommy Hare Date of Birth: Apr 1, 1944

A small but uncompromising full-back, Motherwell born Tommy joined Southampton as an 18 year old and made 13 appearances in the Saints promotion winning side of 1965/66.

The signing of David Webb put paid to his Southampton career and he moved to Luton on a free transfer in the summer of 1967. He was the regular right back at the start of the following campaign but a bad injury sustained at Doncaster effectively ended his League career as by the time of his return the Town had a settled team that would go on to win the championship of Division Four.

Tommy moved back to Southampton, where he still lives, and played for a succession of local sides.
