Tyreeq Bakinson

Tyreeq Jamal Adeshina Oliveria Bakinson Date of Birth: Oct 10, 1998

Born in Camden, London, Tyreeq joined the Luton Town U10 system in 2007, signing professional terms in March 2016. Tyreeq had been a fixture in a very successful U18 Youth team, that had won both the Youth Alliance Cup and the Youth Alliance South East title. He also played a part in the Hatters squad that progressed to the FA Youth Cup Quarter Final, losing 1-0 to Blackburn in the last 8 of the competition. during the 2015/16 season.

That very same season Tyreeq made his Luton Town debut in the first team squad, as a 17 year old, replacing Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu in the 76th minute during an end of season 4-1 victory over Exeter. Tyreeq would go onto make 4 more appearances during the 2016/17 season, all in the EFL Trophy, with one further appearance at the start of the 2017/18 season, also in the EFL Trophy.

Luton Town Manager Nathan Jones was insistent that patience was required, with young Tyreeq desiring first team football. With Tyreeq drawing attention from further up the pyramid, Bristol City signed him for an undisclosed fee just before the end of the transfer deadline in August 2017. Following his move, he was more involved in the first team picture at Bristol City, however, in order to continue his development, Tyreeq was loaned out for the 2018/19 season to League 2 Newport County.

Bakinson returned to Bristol City for the start of the 2019/20 season, and then sent out to League 2 Plymouth on loan for the second half of the season. Bakinson once again spent the second half of the season on loan for the 21/22 season, this time at League 1 Ipswich. His performances in League 1 prompted Sheffield Wednesday to sign him for an undisclosed fee. Bakinson was a fixture of the Sheffield Wednesday team for the 2022/23 season, dropping down the pecking order for the 2023/24 season, spending the second half of the season on loan at Charlton.

Bakinson was released by Sheffield Wednesday upon the expiry of his contract following the conclusion of his contract.
