Vidar Riseth

Vidar Riseth Date of Birth: Apr 21, 1972

Luton manager Terry Westley paid £110,000 to bring Vidar from Norwegian club Kongsvinger in October 1995 but within weeks the manager had gone leaving the tall striker floundering in a Hatters side destined for relegation.

Town fans never saw the best of Vidar, who left for Linz the following summer on a free transfer, but other clubs certainly did with Celtic, TSV Munich and Rosenborg paying large fees for his services.

With over 50 caps for Norway under his belt, Vidar, by now a steadying influence in midfield, finished his playing days with Lillestrom and finally back to Kongsvinger.
