Walter Catlin
Walter Catlin Born: 23rd December 1875 From: Share "Walter Catlin" on FacebookBorn in St Albans in 1876, Walter was known in local football circles as a useful forward and the Luton committee managed to get him to sign professional forms in October 1897.
Mainly used in the club’s United League side he did play in one Football League game – a 3-0 home win over Darwen in April 1898 in which he scored – but was he not retained at the end of the season and moved on to Watford.
His spell there was no more successful so he went back to where he started at St Albans City.
Walter passed away in 1947.
