Walter Rigate Date of Birth: Aug 1, 1882 Share "Walter Rigate" on FacebookBorn in Bermondsey in 1882, Walter was turning out for Hastings and St Leonards where he played well in United League games against the Town.
Invited to come to Luton in the summer of 1907 he soon made the right wing position his own showing composure on the ball allied to clever passing and crossing.
Walter’s second season at Kenilworth Road was less successful as Norman Brown was preferred, so at the end of the campaign he departed to Northfleet where he won a Kent Senior Cup winners medal in 1910.
Walter passed away in Huddersfield in 1961.
