Roland Brown
Roland William Brown Date of Birth: Jun 27, 1874 Share "Roland Brown" on FacebookBorn in Luton in 1874, Tip first played football for St Matthews School and Luton Montrose on the right wing and after a trial in 1892 turned out for the Town on a fairly regular basis on the right wing.
Joining St Albans in 1895, he enjoyed three years at Clarence Park before being enticed back to Luton and then leaving for Watford in 1901. He actually came back for a third time to play a handful of games as a veteran.
A hat manufacturer, Tip was involved with Luton Town cricket club for many years as an opening batsman and later as club secretary.
Tip passed away in Luton in 1940.
