Alan White

Alan White Date of Birth: Mar 22, 1976

After joining Middlesbrough as a Youth trainee, the tall and aggressive centre-half struggled to earn a first team chance at the Riverside so when his old manager, Lennie Lawrence, came calling in September 1997 to ask him to come to Luton he jumped at the chance.

The Hatters were suffering from a major injury crisis at the time which gave the £40,000 signing an opportunity to earn himself a regular place in the side with his no-nonsense style and he was virtually ever present until losing his place to Julian Watts.

Alan then enjoyed successful spells at Colchester, Leyton Orient, Boston and Notts County and a short time back at Kenilworth Road when the club was in the Conference before drifting down the divisions and subsequently becoming a coach at Spennymoor and home town club Darlington.
