The big centre-forward, who was also a Bedfordshire sprint champion, was handed a debut on the opening day of the 1922-23 campaign at home to Charlton, which coincided with the opening of the new Main Stand, but failed to impress. He spent to rest of his Luton career in the reserves before returning to Kettering.
