He started with his home town club and scored goals everywhere he went in Non-League. Spells with League sides, Peterborough United and Crawley Town were not successful and it was while he was at the Posh that Ben came to Kenilworth Road on loan in September 2009. He came on as a 79th minute substitute in the 1 0 home defeat to Stevenage, Mick Harford’s last game in charge. He started and scored in the next game, a 2 1 win over Tamworth at Kenilworth Road. Ben started the next three games but went off injured just before half time against York City and returned to the Posh.
Ben scored wherever he went in the lower leagues with clubs such as Braintree Town, Eastleigh, Maidenhead united and back at his home town club, Basingstoke United. He ended his career with Hampshire side Tadley Calleva.
