Brendan McNally
Brendan John McNally Date of Birth: Jan 22, 1935 Share "Brendan McNally" on FacebookAfter signing for the Hatters from Shelbourne, Brendan had to wait patiently for his chance but eventually took over at full-back from another ex-Shelbourne player Seamus Dunne, not only at club level but also on the international front.
A strong and powerful performer, Brendan turned out for the Town in the 1959 F.A.Cup final and was involved in the incident that left Forest’s Roy Dwight with a broken leg although he was left a limping passenger with a torn cartilage.
After leaving the full-time game in 1963, Brendan played for Cambridge City, Dunstable and Chesham before returning to Dunstable as manager where he was instrumental in signing Kerry Dixon.
Brendan sadly passed away in 2011.
