Chris Willmott

Christopher Willmott Date of Birth: Sep 30, 1977

Bedford born Chris joined Luton from school and after working his way up through the ranks at Kenilworth Road suddenly found himself thrust into the first team following the Hatter’s double sale of Graham Alexander and Steve Davis in 1999.

A tall and powerful defender, Chris filled in reliably at either full-back or centre-half for the remainder of the 1998/99 campaign before an amazing £350,000 bid came in from Premiership Wimbledon that summer which was too good to turn down.

Chris could never carve out a regular place in the Dons team and came back to Luton for two loan spells in 2003 before making a permanent move to Northampton where he enjoyed greater success.

Chris went on to play for Oxford United, Brackley Town and Oxford City before hanging up his boots.
