Signing a contract at Kenilworth Road in April 1923, the small and quick left-winger was in and out of the side over the next twelve months at the end of which he decided that he would prefer to return to Nottinghamshire and give up the professional game.
He subsequently turned out for the likes of Heanor Town and Grantham and passed away in Mansfield in 1975.
