Ian Tracey Benjamin Date of Birth: Dec 11, 1961

Ian Benjamin scored goals for twelve League clubs over a long career and would probably class his ten months at Luton Town as one of the least successful of his time in the game.

He will, however, hold a place in the hearts of Hatters’ fans due to scoring against Watford, in a 2-0 victory, in only his second game for the club!

Ian enjoyed his greatest successes at Northampton and Southend, with Luton, needing a replacement for Steve Claridge, paying £50,000 for his services from the latter in November 1992.

Unfortunately, he was unable to build upon his goalscoring start and moved on to Brentford before finishing his career at Wigan.

Ian subsequently managed Soham Town Rangers with some success.
